About Us

The Capital Region Human Resource Association is a non-profit professional organization comprised of Human Resource practitioners employed in various functions such as talent acquisition and management, compensation, benefits, HRIS, organizational behavior and development, and more.  At CRHRA, we envision building a learning Human Resource community through innovative leadership and involved membership that emphasizes growth and development, renewal, and continuous improvement of the Human Resource Professional and the Human Resource Profession.  Since 1946, the benefits provided to our 750+ members are only exceeded by the remarkable participation of these HR professionals.

The Capital Region Human Resource Association (CRHRA) is the northeastern New York State Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The Chapter was founded in 1946 and is currently comprised of over 750 professionals, employed in various human resource functions in over 450 companies. As a very active chapter, with great participation by our members, we are proud to have won the following recognition awards from SHRM:

Pinnacle Award
1991 for the “Top Ten Awards” program.

The SHRM Pinnacle Awards Program is an annual recognition program honoring the highest achievements in chapter development and contributions that enhance the development of effective human resource management. A total of eight Pinnacle Awards are given out each year. We are always looking for your suggestion for our next Pinnacle Awards program.
