Educational Seminar: Balancing Cancer & Careers
Many of us have been personally affected or know of someone who has been affected by cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute, it is estimated that 182,460 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 40,480 women will die from the disease in 2008. While these numbers are staggering, statistics show that breast cancer is on the decline.
As Human Resources Professionals, we pride ourselves on having the answers to most employee issues and concerns. If the person who has been recently diagnosed with cancer is a colleague at work, would you know what to do? Cancer and Careers, a locally based non-for-profit devoted to assisting individuals with breast cancer will be presenting a Seminar at 6:00pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2008. This seminar will be geared towards providing practical advice and solutions for employees affected by cancer. For more details, please click here.
