Mission - The mission of the Capital Region Human Resource Association (CRHRA) Workforce Readiness Committee is to provide a collaborative “human resource” link in:

assisting individuals who are entering and/or re-entering the workforce, as well as those individuals who are currently in the workforce but are “underemployed,” in becoming a knowledgeable and qualified workforce for today and tomorrow; and
-
assisting Capital Region employers in issues of workforce readiness in a way that will allow them to become “employers of choice.”
Specific annual goals for the Workforce Readiness Committee are developed in terms of their value in a number of different areas or sectors of our workforce community. These five areas, expressed as “project categories,” are as follows:
- Education and Relationship Building
- Service to our Membership
- Service to our Schools (Public and Private)
- K-12
- Vocational and Technical Schools
- Community and Four-Year Colleges
- Adult Education Opportunities
- Remedial and Skill-Based Employee Training Programs
- Continuing Professional Development
- Service to our Job Seeker/Worker Community
- Service to our Business Community
- Private Employers
- Public Employers
- Non-Profit Employers
