Effective leaders align employees' beliefs, decisions and behaviors with delivery of growth, cost and risk objectives. Ineffective leaders do just the opposite and often spend their time on seven culture killers. In this program, Aon's Global Culture & Engagement practice leader Ken Oehler and Aon partner Don MacPherson will discuss the framework that great organizations use to shape their corporate culture. They will also talk about how to identify and eradicate culture killers. 

About the presenters: Don MacPherson is an employee performance expert with 20 years of industry experience. As president of the human capital measurement company, Modern Survey, he oversaw the organization’s consulting and employee measurement practices. As Aon Hewitt's global head of talent marketing, MacPherson leads strategic messaging, audience growth, and thought leadership promotion for the assessment and selection, culture and engagement, human capital strategy, and leadership practices. His areas of expertise include understanding employee and customer motivations, developing effective leadership, and creating processes for gathering and responding to employee feedback. 

Ken Oehler, Ph.D., is a partner and Global Engagement practice leader at Aon Hewitt. He specializes in human capital strategies and interventions linked to business objectives. He is in Aon Hewitt’s New York office. Prior to joining Aon Hewitt, he was a principal with Towers Perrin, where he served on the Global Change Implementation Practice Leadership Team and was the firm’s Global Measurement Practice Leader. Oehler has 20 years of consulting experience. He has worked with clients in a variety of industries in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, U.K., Netherlands, France, Italy, and Japan.
