"Diversity In the Workplace"
In the current landscape, topics like race, religion, age, lifestyles and culture are a hotbed of discussion both in the political arena and in daily interactions within the workplace. What was accepted as the social norm years ago may no longer be true, and employers often struggle to keep up with the rapid pace of changing regulations and cultural expectations. It is ever important for HR professionals and business leaders to be aware of their role in shaping their organization’s culture in order to best support employees and customers, maintain compliance, meet business objectives, and thrive as an organization. In this interactive training which will include a presentation and a case study/breakout session, we will define diversity and participants will be able to identify the following:
· Distinction Between EEO, Affirmative Action and Diversity & Inclusion
· Primary and Secondary Dimensions of Diversity
· Transgender Issues in the Workplace
· How We Can Promote Diversity and Inclusion
· Competitive Advantages to Diversity
· Benefits of Workplace Diversity
