The NYS Workers' Compensation system has been ever changing in 2015 and 2016. Learn how the technology age at the WC board impacts HR professionals.
- Review payor compliance laws and the processes that employers will need to focus on
- Explore the evolving WC regulations surrounding S25a and Voluntary Removal from the Labor Market
- Review best practices in workers' compensation avoidance and determinations of compensability
- Examine the impact of successful return to work programs within the parameters of the new guidelines and how it integrates with LWEC (Loss of Wage Earning Capacity) and what will be needed from them as the employer contact
About our speaker:
Monica Manske is an over 20 year HR and Risk Management industry professional. She is currently the Sr. Manager of Workers' Compensation and Employee Safety/Ergonomics at Rochester Regional Health. She graduated with her MSM from Nazareth College of Rochester, and spent ten years in the insurance industry before transitioning into the healthcare setting. Through her operational leadership she has had oversight of workers' compensation, employee leave programs, unemployment insurance, and finally ergonomics and employee safety. Monica is a regular speaker at colleges, the Chamber of Commerce, GVC SHRM, local and state conferences on the topics of workers' compensation, employee safety and safe patient handling. She is on the Board of Managers for New York Self Insurance Association; Workers' Compensation Advocacy committee at the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce; and on the Board of Directors for the Genesee Valley Chapter at SHRM.
