Stand Out With Talent - Implicit Bias: Hiring and Recruiting

Why is it that many of the world’s most advanced companies struggle to create diversified workforces, despite spending millions of dollars on diversity training and recruitment? We all fall victim to “implicit bias” – the attitudes and stereotypes that subconsciously impact our understanding, actions, and decisions when hiring and recruiting. Bias is almost hardwired into our human nature; familiarity is comfortable, however, as HR professionals we must learn to recognize that unfamiliarity can lead to coded language or judgments. Through this program, learn how to gain awareness and combat these tendencies in order to increase productivity, foster innovation, and drive revenue by recruiting and retaining diverse staff. Together we will develop an understanding of the drivers that encourage diverse applicants to apply, interview, and accept positions, including insight into the workplace benefits that appeal to certain communities. Understand triggers of implicit bias when hiring and recruiting and tools to overcome these biases to STAND OUT WITH TALENT.
