2018 Conference Keynotes

Breakfast Keynote - Rise Up, Rise Again: The Significance of the HR Professional
Presented by Pete Smith, SmithImpact

Today’s HR professionals don’t need more of the same messaging. They’re looking for something bold, something challenging, something that will help them make a significant impact, both personally and professionally.

What we’re all searching for, from organizational leadership to the individual employee, is to know with certainty that who we are and what we do matters. It isn’t enough to promote organization, team, and employee success if that isn’t accompanied by a relentless pursuit of significance. At our core, significance is what we desire.

In this session, you will be educated, entertained, and elevated as you travel through the detailed framework designed to help HR professionals incorporate significance into their own lives, as well as the lives of those they serve.

After attending, you will have the tools to:

  • Build stronger, sustainable organizations by understanding what attracts, connects, and retains the best talent.
  • Understand how individuals, teams and organizations advance quicker through the recognition and acceptance of current conditions.
  • Increase commitment, engagement, and production by encouraging behavior that challenges individuals, teams, and organizations to extend beyond their current levels of comfort.
  • Learn to recognize and overcome the internal limiting beliefs that pose as a detriment to effective relationships and communication at all organizational levels

Special Bonus: All attendees receive a copy of Pete Smith’s book, Dare to Matter!

Pete Smith is a sought-after international speaker and trainer in the fields of leadership, management, personal growth and development. His energetic, witty, and interactive style is complimented by his ability to provide practical takeaways that actually work, while having a little fun in the process.

Prior to SmithImpact, Pete was the Operations Executive at one of the largest non-profit, alternative schools in Northern Virginia, serving the students with disabilities population. During his tenure, he helped increase the total income, employee base and client base by over 102%. He helped increase the average employee tenure by 74%, and saved the organization over $420,000 in turnover costs during that time.
