Pete Smith is a sought-after international speaker and trainer in the fields of leadership, management, personal growth and development. Prior to SmithImpact, Pete was the Operations Executive at one of the largest non-profit, alternative schools in Northern Virginia, serving the students with disabilities population. Lunch Keynote - Legislative Update for 2018
Presented by Frank Kerbein, The Business Council of New York State

This program will discuss the unprecedented recent developments at both the state and federal level in the area of labor/human resource management that will dramatically affect your business. We’ll discuss the motivations behind these changes, how you can get into compliance, and what’s coming next. 

Frank Kerbein is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and he has more than 30 years of experience in human resource administration and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Society for Human Resource Management. 


Frank has held senior human resource management positions in large organizations and not-for-profits, and has been a frequent presenter of human resource topics across the state and nationally. 


Frank is currently a registered lobbyist in NYS responsible for labor and HR issues and is the Director of the Center for Human Resources with The Business Council of New York State – the largest state-wide employer association.
