The A,B,C and Ds of Medicare: Making an Easy Transition from Group Health Plans

Individuals throughout the country are often misinformed about their Medicare healthcare options. A wrong choice can be costly. Often, employees approaching retirement will turn to their HR Department for answers. In this program, we provide HR Professionals with education about the Medicare marketplace so you may better assist your employees.

The program will give an in-depth explanation on the Medicare system, the different parts of Medicare, and how to coordinate plans to provide comprehensive doctor, hospital and prescription drug coverage.  We will then discuss the different options that are available to individuals approaching retirement or who are ready to retire, and ways to help these individuals cap their healthcare costs. There will also be a discussion of our proprietary system to highlight how we can streamline the whole enrollment process.

This program has been submitted for 1.0 General Credit through HRCI and SHRM.

About our speaker:
Joseph Battaglia has been an insurance professional for over 30 years and specializing in the Medicare industry for over 10 years (since the Medicare Modernization Act in 2006). Joe is the Principal of Senior Services of North America, which is one of the largest organizations in the Northeast assisting employers and their retiring employees with making the transition from group health plans to individual Medicare coverage. An accomplished (as well as published) motivational speaker, he is well respected in the industry for his straightforward professionalism with the insurance carriers, HR professionals as well as retirees. Senior Services of North America is a proud sponsor of SHRM Long Island, as well as an approved instructor by both SHRM and HRCI providing continuing education credits for both organizations.
